In the case of Manalapan’s Ethan Fogelstrom Ethan Fogelstrom 6'1" | 185 lbs | DL Manalapan | 2027 State NJ , I suspect that he might be such an athlete that he is asked to do so much. As a defensive end, Fogelstrom is quick off the snap, particularly when slanting into the B gap. That same quickness is on display offensively where the tight end goes in orbit motion and is given a toss. I thought that Fogelstrom does a good job of recognizing cutoff blocks – where he will fight to the inside – and reach blocks – where he fights to the outside and down the line. Similarly, the 2027 graduate recognizes pressure and fights back via spin when he is getting washed. Unblocked? No problem. Fogelstrom makes a number of plays from the backside. I would like to see Fogelstrom finish his slants with a solid rip and add instances of him squeezing hard and physically on tape next time I watch.
