Expert Analysis
Zack Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Valencia is one of the more versatile offensive weapons in northern Nevada as a QB/RB threat for Lowry. He’s a highly effective ball-carrier that can attack the lanes between the OTs and produce explosive plays with the ball in his hands. Totaled over 2,500 yards and 23 TDs between his passing and rushing as a junior. Valencia should be in for another productive season as the primary ball-handler for Lowry this fall.

Valencia has steadily been rising the PRZ NV 2026 rankings since being added to the watchlist ahead of his junior season. He’s a versatile offensive weapon for Lowry that takes the majority of snaps at QB but is most effective as a runner with the ball in his hands. He has a RB build at 5’10″/170, does a good job of pressing the LOS, and hits the hole with noticeable burst and acceleration. He shows good vision between the OTs and can make athletic, off-schedule throws when evading the rush. Valencia likely fits in as a RB or gadget playmaker at the next level but should continue to operate as the most productive ball-handler for Lowry’s offense this season.

Valencia showed flashes of dual-threat ability as a sophomore for Lowry last fall. He’s on the smaller side at 5’10″/155 but possesses the mobility and athleticism to make throws outside the pocket and threaten the defense with his legs. He’s a shifty, deceptive runner with the ball in his hands that can make defenders miss and find space through narrow running lanes. Look for continued growth and development from Valencia in Nevada’s 3A division this season.
