, a Class of 2027 defensive tackle, has quick feet and a good first step. He comes off the LOS with twitch and explosiveness, able to win on his first step and takes great angles to the QB as a pass rusher. Easton flows to the ball effectively as a run defender, wrapping up behind the line of scrimmage without breaking contain. Keep an eye on his development at college camps.

Easton is a 6’0″ 270 pound defensive tackle from Coal City. Fights through multiple blocks to make play. Gets off blocks with powerful hands. Good pass rusher up middle. Thick lower half. Diagnoses plays and stuffs vs run. Plays with a lot of athleticism and physicality.

was another trench warrior who showed out at camp. Easton really caught my attention during 1v1s, when he displayed top-tier explosiveness and hand usage to fly past his opponents. It starts with Emmett’s rapid get-off, allowing him to fire out of his stance and in his opponent’s face in no time. He does a great job using his first step to set up blockers and has the football IQ and instincts to find different ways to win at the line of scrimmage. Easton had a great rep where he used his wide technique to get his opponent to set wide, before cutting across to beat him with an inside move, all while effectively using his hands to prevent the blocker from being able to slow him down. Good use of leverage, keeps his eyes on the ball, and a massive wingspan (6’10”). 4.53 shuttle drill and a 7.54 L-drill were some of his top testing numbers. Under the radar prospect who could turn some heads this summer with a strong camp cycle!

already has some big things going for him. A freshman starter as a 14/15-year-old, Easton posted 35 tackles and 7 TFLs as a defensive tackle, Easton also has one of my favorite traits in OL/DL prospects and is a good wrestler who posted 23 pins in his 29 wins from the 2023-24 season. Easton also got pulled aside and had a couple 1v1 chats with some Boston College coaches after his performance at their camp in early June, and he also competed at the North Central College mega camp and Illinois 7on7 camp.
Easton starts his freshman highlights off with a bang, breaking off from an attempted double team and running down a LB who found the sideline to halt a big play 15 yards downfield, and it’s safe to say that he’s mobile, balanced, quick, controlled, and plays fast. Easton does a good job of getting underneath blocks and shows some burst out of his stance and from a dead stop, displays a good get-off, and sheds blocks with his active hands, quick feet, and lateral agility. Easton will rock QBs when he gets opportunities, closes in a flash, and can tackle in space. Another prospect whose ceiling will be a bit dependent on how big he can get, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Coal City product climb up the rankings in time.

We slide inside for this next athlete to know. Emmett is a freshman DT who was able to work his way onto the varsity roster. Making a varsity impact at DT as a freshman is probably the toughest thing to do at this level. It requires physicality, mental toughness, and athleticism to just survive. Emmett is able to thrive. The 6’1″ 235 lbs DT has the stout anchor strength to hold the line against double teams. He springs off the line and can shoot through gaps when his man pulls away from him to blow up plays. The freshman is showing a knack for disrupting the backfield even if he doesn’t get to the ball. He plays with his hands, is very tough, and doesn’t quit on plays. This is a name to know for several years to come.

Emmett was able to crack the varsity lineup as a freshman, a sign of big things to come. The DL has a solid frame that I expect to continue to grow over the next three years. The freshman was used all along the DL and was able to win using a variety of tools. Inside, Emmett has solid quickness off the line to beat interior linemen. The freshman has solid lateral agility to get around OL, and his hands consistently got him wins in the trenches. Where we could see a big jump is in his size. Plus his overall strength could be noticeably improved if he uses this offseason well. Add strength to move OL to his bag of tricks and you will have a very talented, well rounded prospect on your hands. I’m excited for what’s to come for Easton.
