About Ely

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Speedy, Shifty, Aggressive, Athlete who can make plays not only on offense, but also special teams, and defense, whether it be scoring touchdowns or laying a hit.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

No matter what the circumstances I go into every practice or game like it’s my last, I’m there to prove a point.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve pushed my self into being a team leader since my freshman year, I’m there to bring the energy when the energy is due.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve been doubted a lot by those closest to me just because of my size, maybe I don’t have a flashy highlight reel and I come from a smaller conference, but everyday I work to prove the point that I belong.

What type of college are you looking for?

A place willing to give me a chance to do me plain and simple, A place I can call my home away from home.

Ely is often used as the only WR out wide in the New Holstein formation, but he is able to put a lot of stress on defensive backfields because he is a smooth athlete that can separate with his route running and his speed to stretch the field. Ely is a big play threat as an a sophomore with soft hands and a willingness to go and get the ball instead of waiting for it. It’s quick film this week, but a good start for one of our top underclassmen WRs.
