The Sterling 5’7″ quarterback went for 886 passing yards and 703 rushing yards along with 21 touchdowns on the JV level this past season. He is a smaller QB that has a nice deep arm with touch and accuracy. Drops the ball in the bucket consistently. Good athlete that gets first downs with his legs.

The most talented 2029 prospect I saw, Tablante, made the impressive hike all the way from central Illinois, and he didn’t disappoint. Tablante was clearly a step ahead of all incoming freshmen in nearly every category, but stood out particularly in a few. He had the best throwing mechanics among 2029s and boasted a zippy release as well as impressive velo on short routes. The consistent ball placement, was very encouraging, and his arm strength was also impressive for an incoming freshman. I’m not super tapped into Illinois football, but I like Tablante as a standout 2029 prospect.

- Strengths: Arm strength, work ethic.
Another Quarterback who I took a liking to on film after watching his 2024 work. As PRZ Next Scout Arlen Harris echoed in his evaluation from this past November, Tablante can drive the ball just about anywhere he needs to on the field with accuracy. His accuracy spoke to me as well, while watching his film. I also did notice at times he does throw off his back foot which isn’t necessarily ideal, but the ball gets there. Naturally, I start to think about those back-foot passes and what they’d look like if he fully stepped into them. In recent off-season film he looks to be training hard and replacing some of the bad habits with good ones.
- Quarterback Grade: B-

Elijah comes out of Sterling and was definitely in the Top 3 QBs at the showcase. Not as tall as the other two, but drove the ball where it needed to be with good accuracy. A Baker Mayfield type with a competitive demeanor and pin point concentration at the same time. He was locked in on all the drills, showing off footwork, and nice placement with the football when it was time to connect with the wide outs. Those spirals kept coming.
