Holmes has a long, lean, athletic frame, he transitions into his backpedal smoothly and he has fluid hips that enable him the turn, run and stay engaged with receivers downfield. Elijah has the frame that college coaches covet at the next level, he has an extended reach and he gets hands on receivers early at engagement to alter their routes. He was impressive in the individual position drills, showing clean footwork and the ability to stay balanced, not wasting steps.

During the 7v7 period and 1v1s, he was sticky in coverage, using his length well in close quarters to get his hands on the ball for multiple interceptions and pass defections. He took MVP honors at the defensive back position. Holmes has the potential to be make waves on Friday nights this fall and should began to put himself on recruiting boards.
