Hargrove displays good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, good balance, and speed. Uses his good vision and very good inside running to find the open holes. If it’s covered, he’ll pivot with his explosive jump cuts into the open hole. He’s a weaver but can also get physical with his good trucking. As a linebacker, he displays good read and reaction speed. Puts himself in position to succeed and uses his very good tackling to stonewall the running back. Very good strength to wrap and pull the ball carrier down. Good zone coverage too. Good block shedding and get off speed. With another strong off-season under his belt, look for Hargrove to make heads turn this season.

Hargrove brings a bruising presence to the backfield. He shows excellent burst through the hole and has the ability to get skinny in the hole, making him an ideal short yardage option. Averaging four yards per carry, Hargrove embraces physicality and is looking to expand his role this season. He’s a player quietly preparing for a breakout year as he continues to refine his all around game to pop onto the radar.
