Elijah Greene started his senior season en fuego. The 3-year varsity player, Greene intercepted 4 passes in his first two games, including 3 in one game. Last week in a shutout victory against Plainfield, Greene’s 3-game interceptionless streak snapped, as he picked his 5th pass of the season of. In addition to interrupting the passing game, Greene has been credited with 25 tackles (14 solo, 1 for loss) and a blocked kick during his final year. In a part-time role on offense, he has 13 receptions for 143 yards and 2 scores, both coming in his last two contests.

Green is a smooth mover with top-tier ball skills and strong instincts. He reads routes well, closes space quickly, and shows the ability to flip his hips and run with just about anyone. What separates him is his natural ability to locate the football and position himself to make plays. Green recently earned offers from Wofford and the University of Charlotte, and he’s well on his way to being one of New Jersey’s top young defensive backs.
