The other week on Halloween Edward made his commitment to Carnegie Mellon and they are getting a steal of a player. A player I have seen plenty over the last year and think he is an FCS level prospect.

A playmaking slot WR, Mr. Samuel is a shifty swiss army knife of an offensive weapon. He shows quick feet & nice twitch, can make a guy miss in tight spaces and find grass. Displays strong hands, can go and snatch it out the air. He can also make a difficult catch. and plays bigger than his size.

Can not fault him for making a decision for his future getting a high level education at the next level. I expect Edward to be an impact player for Tartan football quickly.

Samuel is a dynamic slot receiveer who thrives on quick routes, explosive acceleration, and elusivness in space. He’s dangeous with the football in his hands. His highlights show him routinely creating separation against both zone and soft man services. Samuel is able to make defenders miss and turn short gains into touchdowns. A few of his plays also show his ability to track the football and make contested catches. I love his ability to outrun defenders consistently once he turns the corner or hits a seam. With his size he’ll have to keep improving his strength and abilitiy to absort contact.

Samuel has a couple of Division III offers now. He may be undersized but he’s a playmaker that’s got some short area burst to his game and nice acceleration to his game. Samuel fits perfectly in the slot in his team’s offense and is a mismatch for safeties. I like his toughness and route running. He’s elusive and had the top-speed to get away from defenders. Samuel is also explosive off the line.
