Easton Darcy Easton Darcy 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB/TE Mt. Lebanon | 2027 State PA is a match-up piece as a defender for Mt. Lebo. He played as an inside linebacker, outside linebacker, and as an edge defender. The most impressive part of his film is how fundamentally sound he is at all 3 positions. As an inside linebacker, he is excellent at reading his keys and attacking upfield. Then, as an outside linebacker, he does a good job of playing in space. This allows him to make plays against the run and the pass. He is equally good at both. Finally, as an edge defender, he shows great patience. He never gets caught being overaggressive. At all 3 positions, Darcy shows that he is a good player who makes plays. That’s all any defensive coach would want to ask for.

His ability to read the play and trigger downhill is excellent. He has great instincts, and he can read his keys and constantly make the right read against opposing offenses. He also does a good job of playing in space and reading his keys as a defender. Finally, Darcy is a good tackler who tackles in the open field at a high level. Darcy has a chance to excel and be even better next season.

Easton is a stout run stuffer. He’s quick to get after ball carriers and can shoot gaps before linemen can get to the lead block. He showcases good wrap tackling technique and the intelligence to know where to go to get to the ball. Easton put on some muscle going into his junior season, and I think that’ll help him greatly.
