An All-Stater, Fleshman led all 2028s in TFLs, finished fifth with eight sacks and led the class in forced fumbles with four.

Often taking on double-teams, Fleshman still found a way to make a play, whether it was out-muscling the opposing offensive linemen and bullying his way into the backfield, or using a nasty swim move to dip his way to the ball-carrier. Described by a Power 4 coach as a prospect that “has a chance if he continues to develop,” Fleshman is on the trajectory to being impactful at the next level, too.

Fleshman is the epitome of a high-motor player. He combines that with unusual strength for his age. There’s opportunity to add good weight and more power over time, leading to a sizable ceiling as a college prospect. Fleshman moves quickly in a straight line and fast laterally, aiding him in pursuit. He’s able to avoid blocks on a regular basis, and an array of pass rushing maneuvers free him up when the offensive lineman is able to engage him. Fleshman also flashes potential as an offensive lineman but is more advanced on the defensive front right now. That said, the door is open for multiple positions in the future. He racked up 56.5 tackles (35 solo, 26.5 TFL) and 8.0 sacks as a 10th-grader.

The sophomore DL has a tall, long frame to swat down passes at the line of scrimmage, uses strength to push opposing OL off the ball, plays with heavy hands and violence as a pass-rusher and uses a swim move to burst through offensive lines. Given his toolkit, it’s not a surprise he’s able to rack up the stats he does — but he’s doing it with a high motor while also playing right tackle for the Pirates on offense.

Coming off a productive freshman campaign with the Pirates where he posted 22.5 tackles and five TFLs, Fleshman has taken his game to a completely different level in his second year of varsity football.
