A do-it-all athlete who shines all over the field, Callihan plays the game the right way no matter where he’s lined up. He’s a max-effort player with outstanding instincts at linebacker who knows how to deliver a sound, physical hit on the ball-carrier. He’s tough to block, can chase down the quarterback, and bat passes at the line of scrimmage. He has a feel for the game and plays with great effort and toughness. The 6-foot-0 215-pound athlete is one of the best returning players in the region and should see more and more offers come his way this spring. He’ll also likely see a bump in the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings.

– A linebacker prospect to get really excited about coming out of Ellijay, GA, who will be at Gilmer High School in North Georgia this upcoming fall
– Athletically he checks every box for a 2027 linebacker. Stands 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds (unverified) with excellent speed and mobility
– More times than not, he’s the first hat to the ball. On top of strength and power (he’s already squatting 345 pounds) his closing speed is what got me fired up. His speed is such a strength right now, that on offense he gets the ball on end-around’s or plays to the boundary, and outruns the opposition’s tackling angles.
