A top 2028 Pennsylvania prospect currently ranked among the top 25 running backs in his class. Standing 5’10, 180 pounds, he is a player whose preseason evaluation placed him on the cusp of a Division I grade. It is a little concerning that he hasn’t posted a single tweet throughout the season, although that concern becomes much smaller when checking his Hudl. He uploaded a highlight reel featuring Weeks 0 through 3 in mid September, giving me approximately two and a half minutes of production to evaluate. As long as he continues posting single game cutups and midseason highlights to Hudl, his lack of Twitter activity isn’t the biggest issue. However, considering his current ranking and potential collegiate ceiling, I would still like to see him put more effort into getting his name and production in front of college coaches.
His first rep is a good one, featuring a handoff out of a shotgun formation. He identifies a rushing lane inside his offensive tackle, commits to the opening and finishes the run in the end zone. What I like about this rep is that he doesn’t simply walk into an uncovered gap. He has to navigate an alley with a safety positioned in front of him, making this a much more difficult red zone carry than it might initially appear. He demonstrates the ability to identify the proper rushing lane, maintain his momentum and finish through a defender who has an opportunity to prevent the score. That is an encouraging opening rep for a running back whose physicality and ability to produce between the tackles are important parts of his evaluation.
His second rep is much the same, again featuring a handoff out of a shotgun spread look. This time, he shows patience while allowing his offensive tackle and tight end to establish a rushing lane. Once the gap develops, he recognizes it immediately and attacks with urgency. He is particularly effective once he reaches the second level, where linebackers and safeties have a difficult time bringing him down cleanly. There is legitimate toughness in the way he runs the football, and I appreciate that he can generate touchdowns between the hashes without constantly needing to bounce outside. His third rep reinforces those same traits, featuring another shotgun carry near the goal line that he finishes for a touchdown. Through these first three plays, he demonstrates consistency in his vision, patience behind his blockers and willingness to finish runs in traffic.
His fourth rep should arguably be moved higher on the tape because it showcases another dimension of his ability. Again, he takes a shotgun handoff on an off tackle concept, identifies a developing gap and knifes through the defense before eventually bouncing the run outside. Once he reaches open space, he evades two defenders and turns the opportunity into a touchdown of approximately 50 yards. This is an excellent rep because it combines the same patience and decisiveness seen in his shorter touchdown runs with the acceleration and open field ability necessary to create explosive plays. He isn’t strictly a short yardage or between the tackles runner. He has enough athleticism to turn a well blocked rushing opportunity into a significant gain once he clears the initial traffic.
His defensive production is also worth mentioning. On another rep, he drops into a deep zone approximately 15 yards off the line of scrimmage, reads the developing pass and comes away with an interception. That is an encouraging example of his awareness and versatility, even though I still view running back as his primary collegiate projection. Seeing him again reinforces why I felt comfortable giving him such a strong preseason grade. His ability to navigate rushing lanes, finish through contact, create explosive plays and contribute defensively gives him a solid foundation as one of Pennsylvania’s better 2028 running backs.
I still want to see more from him, both in terms of updated film and the effort he puts into promoting his production. A prospect approaching a Division I grade should be making it as easy as possible for college coaches to find and evaluate his work. The talent is clearly there, and his first three games support his current placement among the top 25 running backs in the class. I’m looking forward to seeing more complete production on Hudl and hopefully more consistent updates on Twitter as the season progresses.

is a legit running back with elite speed. Once he gets into the open field, he is next to impossible to tackle because of his speed. He is a long-strider as a runner, which allows him to exploit his speed. He also shows good patience as he waits for the hole to open, and then he explodes through it. He is also good on kickoff returns. He uses his speed to hit the return and make big plays. Peay is a talented running back with elite speed.
