About Dorian
Expert Analysis
Avery Hawkins | Prep Redzone Scout
The 6’2, 195 lbs athlete has performed excellently to start the season. Dorian has had production not only at WR but also at DE/OLB. McGee is the fifth-leading WR in the WPIAL with 511 yards and 4 TDs on the year and has proven to be a reliable playmaker. McGee has displayed strong hands and the ability to score, showcasing his YAC capabilities. Dorian’s strength is very apparent when watching him break tackles and keep his balance on those long yards-after-catch runs. He’s capable of scoring on slants, fades, deep crossing routes, and other quick-hitting 3-step routes. Besides his clear deep-threat skillset, Dorian has looked good blitzing and causing TFLs off the edge on defense. Dorian looks like he’s capable of being a standout outside WR or an OLB on the scholarship level.

HAWK’S OPINION:
Dorian is one big-bodied wide receiver that’s got good ball skills. McGhee is a true weapon out there as a possession jump ball WR. He averaged an eye-popping 31.4 yards per catch at one point last season! And it’s not just his ball skills that’s impressive – Dorian’s got strength too. He can break tackles and keep his balance on those long yards-after-catch runs. When it comes to those contested passes from defensive backs, he has strong hands to snatch jump balls out of the air. All in all, Dorian is a real deep threat with the frame to be a possession WR. He’s very similar to WR Dereon Green also in the 2024 class. He’s been in communication with Maine & Lehigh so far in his recruitment.

Here’s a grown man disguised as a Western Beaver junior. It’s not often you see a kid this size play the wideout position this well. Dorian McGhee Dorian McGhee 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Western Beaver | 2024 State PA is a thick linebacking prospect, at least that’s what you’d assume when looking at his build. Don’t be fooled, this kid is a legitimate weapon on offense and can break a game open if you let him. Awesome second gear that he can get to. McGhee is a vertical threat simply because of how good his hands are. He’s seen coming down with some tough catches under duress. Again, it’s not often you see someone this big stride away from defensive backs. He’s done it. He self-lists a 4.6 40, something I’d love to see replicated at our camp. McGhee reminds me a ton of Ziggy McIntosh Ziggy McIntosh 6'3" | 210 lbs | ATH Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart | 2023 State PA , although McGhee might be a better OLB at the next level. Special talent.

McGhee’s recruitment is in its early stages, but FCS & D2 schools have shown him interest. Dorian is a big-body WR that has the speed to take it the distance at any time. The Golden Beavers are loaded at receiver, & McGhee is a weapon that averages 31.4 yds per catch. The junior receiver has the strength to break tackles & maintain his balance & speed on long YAC runs. Dorian has the strong mitts for snagging tightly contested passes from DBs. The 24′ athlete has 15 catches for 471 yds & 7 touchdowns so far this season.
