Donovan Rodriguez Donovan Rodriguez 5'9" | 145 lbs | DB Manheim Township | 2025 State PA is one of the best two-way players in the state who recently committed to play at Buffalo. Rodriguez plays as a defensive back at a high level. He has great coverage skills and does a nice job of making plays on balls thrown his way. Then he does a good job of coming upfield and making tackles in the open field. He has also played some wide receiver and he does a nice job of catching the ball in space and making a play. Rodriguez is a good football player with excellent skills.

Rodriguez on Friday night helped shut down and shut out a talented Hempfield offense in a big rivalry win. He also caught a touchdown on offense. Rodriguez is a difference-maker at defensive back and he continues to show how talented he is as a player.

He played mostly as a defensive back last year, but I expect he play more this season on offense as well. At defensive back, he has good coverage skills. He has the speed and athleticism to stay in front of receivers and then make a play on the ball thrown his way. He also is a good tackler in the open field. His recruiting is starting to pick up with offers from Maine and St. Francis. I expect more to come his way.
