Dey measures in at 5’11, 195 and contributed significantly for the Corsairs varsity team last year at running back. Dey is a shifty back, who possesses the vision, balance, and speed that should see him flying up recruiting boards heading to his junior season. Dey is a bouncy runner, meaning he can put his foot in the ground and use multiple juke moves that almost always results in the first defender missing the tackle. He has the natural ability to hit the hole with speed while also utilizing his vision that allows him to cut back on runs, forcing defenders to over run him. Not to mention Dey was incredible sound in pass protection. Keep an eye out for Dey in his junior campaign.

The opening drive for the Corsairs of Carmel Catholic was a very balanced one that saw the Corsairs pushing down the field utilizing the throwing strengths of their quarterback, Johnathon Weber; and the rest of their drive was when Sophomore running back Donovan Dey Donovan Dey 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Carmel Catholic | 2025 State IL began to shine. Donovan was a vital player on the first drive assisting his offense with getting the opening drive touchdown. As the rain started to fall harder, the Corsairs abandoned the pass and went run-heavy, where Donovan would continue to shine as he got the ball more. Donovan showed to be the kind of back that you can play on every down; a back who will stretch the field on early downs and get vertical up the field, and then a back who will lower his shoulder and keep his legs pounding through contact on the 3rd and short situations. This drive to get every inch of extra yardage in all situations is why Donovan is on The Yak Report and why I believe Donovan will continually progress into an unstoppable back as his career moves on.
