Calhoun’s a versatile athlete that jumped 75 spots to #82 overall and the ninth ranked two-way player in the state. Projects as a safety where he excelled in one of the top programs across the state. At 6’1” 190 lbs. he’s got a great nose for the football with the ability to play sideline to sideline and line up all over the field. He’s got good twitch and reactionary quickness to trigger to the ball and close space in a hurry. Excels in coverage but can also come downhill to be effective in run support or as a blitzer in pass rush situations. Brings strong contact to his tackles, he never hesitates when breaking on the ball and drives through contact to finish ball carriers to the ground. Signed to Boise State over offers from San Jose State, Washington State, and Northern Arizona.
