His acceleration and top-end speed were on full display as he turned the corner and pulled away from defenders in pursuit. Malone’s burst and ability to transition from catch to open-field playmaker make him a dynamic offensive threat capable of creating explosive plays from anywhere on the field.

Defensively, Malone showcased his football IQ and physicality. On a key screen play to his side, he engaged his blocker and smartly redirected him into the passing lane, stopping the receiver in his tracks. His awareness and ability to read developing plays highlight his two-way versatility, the kind of complete football instincts that translate to the next level.

I got to see Dominick live in game back in the fall and he stood out to me all the way back then as an intriguing prospect for the future. He’s a tall long CB who displays fluid hips and a smooth runner. Dominick does not hesitate to run the alley and stick his nose in there to make the tackle. He’s a good overall athlete with the ability to turn and run with the receiver. Dominick will track the ball well and go up and high point it to make the play. Right now he is best in off coverage where he can see, read, and react to burst on the play. Only seen him play CB for Clarksburg but with his length and stride he has good range and could see him playing some FS as well.

Dominick still as some development to do as a DB in fine tooling his mechanics but he has nice potential and will be a key player for Clarksburg this fall. With a solid junior campaign I can see some FCS schools eyeing his talents next spring.
