DeAngelo, who is undoubtedly the top player in Section VII in New York, fielded multiple offers before ultimately landing on Wagner. The WR prospect committed to Wagner and became the first New York prospect to land at the Staten Island D1 program.
DeAngelo brings some twitch and quickness to Wagner’s slot wide receiver role. He’s the type of player you look to get the ball in space through the screen game or on crossing routes with space to run. DeAngelo is really solid after the catch. He gets upfield quick and runs with a high motor, fighting through tackles often. DeAngelo is also athletic enough to potentially transition to defensive back at the next level and has some strong film at the position for Plattsburgh.
