About Dominic
Expert Analysis
Oliver West | Prep Redzone Scout
Every year, every cycle, Minnesota produces no more than a handful of Outstate monsters whose size, potential, physicality, and preposterous proportions simply cannot be ignored by PRZMN and college coaches alike. One of 2027’s latest renditions of this consistent trend is Pine River–Backus‘ Dom Rach, a hulking 6’7, 300 lber. built like a vending machine who PRZMN was lucky enough to catch at the inaugural LineofScrimmage x Trench Mobb 5v5 Tryouts from earlier this winter. Boy does this kid have some God-given physical traits, and sometimes as expected with small school OL, he was raw in pass protection, but keep in mind he was also going against an absolutely stacked collection of DL talent that included almost half-a-dozen D1-offerees. Welcome to the big leagues, Dom! However, the kid handled the pressure well and showed off some noticeable foot speed, length, physicality, and coachability, so he has all of the makings in the world to be a road-grader and lockdown OT at the next level.
On tape, Rach shows some exciting COD ability and balance in space when working and climbing to the next level, and he’s a crushing finisher when he gets good interior hand position on a defender. Rach has experience at both tackle spots, has lateral agility all over his junior tape, and does a good job of staying engaged with a DL and running his feet post-contact. Going to be a huge offseason for Rach in terms of where he’ll end up at the next level.
