Good athletic ability showing very good acceleration, foot speed, balance, and explosiveness, with good foot quickness, lateral agility, change of direction, flexibility, hip fluidity, and hand quickness. Plays Safety and Wide Receiver. On defense, he shows very good range from his safety position, with very good mental processing to diagnose route concepts and make a break on the ball. Very good ball skills with very good hands to make the interception, and plays through the WR’s hands to at least break up the pass when he is in position to make a play. Good tackler and run defender from his safety position that you can trust to make an open-field tackle. Tackles through the ball carrier with good form.

On offense, he shows good release off the ball into his route, utilizing his acceleration, foot quickness, and lateral agility to get into his stem. Good route runner with an understanding of how to manipulate his route stem to set up defenders at the top of his route to create good separation quickness. Very good after the catch using his good athleticism to force missed tackles with elusive jukes and weaving through defenders with his speed.

Overall, a good prospect who has D1 capability to play on either side of the ball and should find himself contributing by year two.

Blue Ridge standout receiver D’myo Hunter just received an offer from Wagner University today also and congrats to Mr. Hunter! What a fun combo him and Dombek could be the Seahawks for future years to come?

D’Myo had a great game, with some nice receptions that showcased his run after catch ability, as well as showing off his range and ball skills on a defensive interception. He has very good agility, change of direction, and lateral movement. You can see these on display in his game highlights below. He ought to be on more college team’s radars.

First team all state as a junior has Blue Ridge D’Myo Hunter D’Myo Hunter 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR/DB Blue Ridge | 2025 State VA ranked 12th in his group and 105th overall, like I said the receiver room is deep with talent in this 2025 class. This young man is dynamic with the ball in his hands a true speedster that was also 2nd team all state punt returner.

Hunter is a track and field star also, helping the Barons win the schools first State Championship and he was second in the long jump. The young man is long overdue for offers time for major institutions to start taking notice.
