What’s interesting about DK is his balance, vision and footwork he displays all throughout his film. DK is a patient running back and once he sees his crease he will attack it. As a running back, you have to be patient in any zone schemes and DK shows it on tape. Once he makes his cut, he doesn’t hesitate with that decision, he goes after it. DK is a weapon out of the backfield, and you can line him up at slot receiver who shows he has reliable hands. I really like watching DK’s tape and excited for his JR season to see what he can do.

Out of the five running backs on this breakdown, it was Jeffries that led the way in rushing yards as he emerged as Hugo’s top option in the running game. He has a similar running style to the rest of the running backs on this breakdown and has already proven that he can produce at a high level. Now, we’re looking forward to seeing him take that next step. Become a running back that can consistently finish a game with 15-20 carries, week in and week out. He had three games in 2024 where he finished with at least 15 carries. We could see a significant uptick in his production when he takes the field this season. He’s proven to be a name to remember moving forward.

Jeffries would run for more than 700 yards and nine touchdowns on the season. He would end up leading the Buffaloes in carries, rushing yards and was tied for the lead with their QB1 for rushing touchdowns. Jeffries had a breakout moment around the halfway mark of the regular season. He could not be stopped in their win over Heavener. He would go over 200 yards and four touchdowns in that game alone. He was incredibly productive throughout the 2024 season and we’re looking forward to seeing his continued development. And Hugo should have a wealth of experience and production coming back on offense.

Hugo has won four straight games and they are picking up a lot of momentum as we head into the second half of the regular season. He’s also a couple weeks removed from his breakout performance of the year. In a win over Heavener, Jeffries would run for a little over 200 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries. Hugo jumped into the 2A-1 rankings this week and is a team to watch.
