About DJ

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a lot of explosiveness and intensity.. My style is physical, aggressive, and smart. I like to disrupt plays before they even start, whether it’s off the edge or dropping back into coverage. I study film deeply so I can anticipate what’s coming. I bring pressure every play and I take pride in being the one offenses have to account for.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m mentally tough and I carry a chip on my shoulder. I’ve been through a lot personally so I use that pain to fuel me.. I’m competitive but I stay humble and coachable. I lead by example and always try to bring out the best in the people around me- Whether it’s in football, academics, or life. I believe in giving everything I’ve got and never quitting.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes.. I’m currently working toward graduating high school with a 5.0 GPA while taking dual credit college courses.. I’m committed to academic excellence and personal growth. I’ve been recognized for my leadership and character both on and off the field, and I’ve participated in community service projects and leadership programs that help build up the next generation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership skills from being a student-athlete and helping guide others through hard times. Teamwork is everything to me. Football taught me how to rely on my brothers and put the team before myself. I’ve also learned to serve my community through mentoring younger kids and showing up for people who feel like giving up.. I don’t just want to succeed. I want to lift others

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes.. losing my father, he was a US Marine, he had dreams to go PRO after his service but died after a tackle during a football game, and it broke me for a while. I made a promise to fulfill his dream and mine. and use this platform to inspire others. There’s a lot of pain behind my purpose, but I turned that pain into focus. I show up every day for him and for the future I’m building.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that believes in both academics and athletics. somewhere I can grow as a leader, as a player, and as a man. I want to be surrounded by a brotherhood and coaching staff that sees the long-term vision. not just what I can do on the field. I’m also looking for a school where I can pursue college credits early.. get involved in community work. and build something that
