An interior prospect with a big body that is not sloppy what so ever, Cruz plays with a sturdy and stout base that does not allow him to get displaced much, if at all, on double teams. A rarity for defensive lineman, Cruz manages to play low for someone of his size at his position. This, also prevents him from getting moved. He also has the right idea and approach to playing defensive line, as we see him drive his legs constantly. This leg drives allows Cruz’s big frame to consistently work opponents backwards and win along the interior.
