The #1 ranked prospect in his Colorado class, Devyn West traveled east to showcase his ability and skills. West, who has FBS-ready size, was able to physically impose himself on most matchups; however, against more skilled or coached prospects, he had a hard time anchoring bull rushes that got underneath what would have been his pad level. Additionally, I think gaining more depth on his kick step would protect speed rushes well, as long as he trusts his size and ability to power down.

It is hard to believe he’s not a senior getting ready for his final year with the size and dimensions he steps onto the field with. Devyn dominated through the day at Rize. He won every battle he had going up against the defensive lineman, often squaring up against the top defenders. He handled each of them with ease as he held his ground and brought them where he wanted them to go. No one is getting by Devyn easily or maybe not at all.

West is by far one of the best players in Colorado. He was a dominant playmaker this past weekend with the offensive lineman. Standing at 6’5″ 296-Pounds, he has an elite frame for the position. West dominated with his strength and hands this past weekend. I watched a few reps, and I can’t lie if I had to lineup against this massive prospect I think I would quit football entirely and try bowling. He is dominant and will be a massive prospect.

The most attentive and engaged offensive lineman present. A polite young man, yet plenty of aggression with a bit of a mean streak to his play and nature. Holds an offer from Colorado. His post camp highlight reel was most impressive. Did a fantastic job handling inside and outside moves from his tackle spot. Aggressive nature, lean 300 pound body that moves like a power forward. All the potential in the world to be ranked the top Colorado prospect on our site for years to come. A to-the-whistle dominant performance. More Power Four offers should be in his future.

West has outstanding size already and uses his hands and feet well while bringing a high level of physicality. West is going to be a force at the “RIZE” in New Jersey!

West is a behemoth and he’s only in 8^th grade. He measures in at 6’6 300-pounds and will be playing for Fairview in the fall. West has very good initial quickness out of his stance paired with good hand speed. His footwork really stood out to me, with how controlled and deliberate his movements were. West has very good strength, hand placement, and hand strength. He was locking out and controlling his opponents at will throughout the session. I believe he was the youngest one there as well. It’s very impressive to see him go toe-to-toe with upper classman and dominate. Did a good job with getting a low pad level with his good knee bend and flexibility. Very good anchor with his balance and body control. In my eyes, he’s already a top 2030 prospect and his size is very rare for his age. As he continues his development, watch out for him to be a top name on the college circuit in a couple of years’ time.
