Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Rasmussen has been one of the more talented passers in the 2026 class across the central valley for the last couple seasons, and is a very polished passer with good mechanics and does a nice job at operating this Edison offense with no shortage of playmakers. So far through the regular season, Rasmussen has thrown for just over 2,000 yards and 18 scores while completing over 60% of his passes. He had another strong week in the final regular season game against Lodi where he threw for over 350 yards and 4 scores, making it the second time this season he has eclipsed the 300 yard marker. Heading into the 2025 season, he will be one of the top returning passers across the SJS and should continue drawing next level interest.

Rasmussen’s putting together a breakout junior season in his first year as starter with Edison. The #25-QB in PRZ CA’s 2026 rankings has passed for 1,300 yards and 12 TDs in seven games for the Vikings. He’s a lean, athletic passer at 6’/170 that can get the ball out on time and throw with accuracy. He shows good movement in the pocket and does a good job keeping his eyes downfield when extending plays outside the pocket. Rasmussen’s generated some D-I interest and was recently on campus for a Sacramento St. visit.
