I watched Devin Phillips Devin Phillips 6'4" | 295 lbs | DL East Nashville | 2028 State TN earlier in the season and liked what I saw. The East Nashville Eagle has impressive size and strength for his age, while moving fairly well. Even for a nose tackle, his hand placement, technique and rush moves are crisp.

He’s aggressive and can fight off multiple blocks at a time to make something happen, but is patient enough to be a guy who draws attention so the rest of his defense can make plays. Phillips is a well-rounded player who should improve with two more years to develop.

I actually saw Devin Phillips Devin Phillips 6'4" | 295 lbs | DL East Nashville | 2028 State TN in person last week and he continues to impress as a young defensive tackle.

He is well-built with a stocky frame that can generate push-back up front and immediately gain advantage at times.

He is effective at holding his ground to fill running lanes and close gaps, helping anchor a strong defensive line.

Devin Phillips Devin Phillips 6'4" | 295 lbs | DL East Nashville | 2028 State TN is a young defensive tackle who is built with a sturdy frame, packing a lot of weight without sacrificing his movement skills in the process.

I was impressed with him in pre-game warmups, showing he really wants to maximize his potential, and pulled a coach aside to work on drills just between them, fitting in as many as he possibly could.

Need to get some verified numbers on his size, but he has the size and strength to be a problem inside. His get off is strong and allows for him to effectively utilize his strength to get into the backfield.
