Coleman continues his climb up the rankings now at #30 overall. He’s an aggressive defender with a versatile skillset to be impactful across different alignments and schemes. Plays well with his eyes, showing good instincts and quick reactions to diagnose plays as they develop. Decisive with his reads, he doesn’t hesitate once he diagnoses putting him in position to make plays whether he’s deep in coverage or coming down in the box. Great athleticism and lateral quickness to match up in man coverage as a nickel limiting separation and staying in phase against a wide route tree. Strong tackler in space, capable of delivering forceful contact while taking good angles in pursuit. Love his confidence, speed, and physicality. Currently holds 15 offers.

Coleman had 71 tackles with a forced fumble for Serra last season.
He has positional versatility and I think he works best as a safety but he can be a nickel as well and play in the box a bit. Coleman reads plays quickly and closes to the ball very quickly. In run support, he is a hard hitter who takes good angles to the ball. He has offers from USC, Oregon, UCLA and Oklahoma among others.

Coleman is a versatile and attacking defender with a dynamic skillset to impact the game from multiple positions. Shows he can cover deep as a safety or roll down as a nickel to be effective in man coverage against a slot and help in run support. He’s got great anticipation/awareness against the pass and high level run game instincts. Shows quick processing ability being able to read his keys and trigger downhill with speed. Accelerates hard coming out of the break with good burst and acceleration to close throwing windows and pursue ball carriers in space. Confident in his ability he plays fast and physical flying around and bringing heavy contact as a tackler while being reliable in the open field. Finished the 2025 season with 71 total tackles and 5 tackles for loss. Picked up an early offer from Sacramento State as a freshman and recently pulled in his first FBS offer from Oregon State.

Every team needs playmakers in the secondary, and Coleman played with a ton of confidence in Friday’s game. He was relied on heavily to slow down the Sierra Canyon offense, and he shined in his ability to help in run support and against the pass. Coleman finished with a game-high 11 tackles. Most impressive about the sophomore is his ability to close on ball carriers. He can quickly cover ground with his speed and he is strong at the point of contact.

Coleman is a elite prospect with length, closing speed and covers a ton of ground when working downhill. With plenty of varsity experience during his first year at the high school level he should explode onto the scene this Fall and start collecting offers soon. He currently holds one offer from Sac State and should see a slew of other FBS schools come in after his Sophomore year. He has a high ceiling at the next level and tons to like heading into this year and is very technically sound for his age with plus ball skills, return abilities and natural instincts while seemingly always around the ball.
