Deonte Flemings is a legit cornerback in the 2028 class. He has great size (6’2″) and athleticism. His ability to cover receivers man-to-man is excellent. He has good press coverage skills. His ability to lock down receivers is impressive. He is also a good open-field tackler. He also has great effort. Several times in his film, he chased ball carriers down to prevent long plays. He also showed some good skills as a wide receiver. Flemings is a talented athlete in the 2028 class, with potential to get better. He should be someone who gets some Division One offers as well.

Deonte Flemings, as a freshman,n put out stellar tape. Starting on the size aspect, Fleming is long-standing at 6’2” and has solid weight at 177 pounds. On tape, you see a kid who excels in off-man and zone coverage. Flemings is a ball hawk, often times being a gambler to try and make a play on the ball. In deep zones (quarters and thirds), he trails and then recovers, often times getting to the football. Flemings is an acrobat when attacking the football, showing off even more athleticism. His movement skills in specifically short area situations rock, he’s reactive and quick, which for a bigger DB is awesome. He’s reactive and at the blink of an eye is running downhill to make a tackle on a runner. In press coverage, he uses his length to his advantage as well. Fleming’s early on is close to a complete package, while there are some small technical things I could nitpick against Flemings is a kid I’m calling my shot on and has an FBS ceiling.

Deonte Flemings is a good athlete who plays cornerback. He has good coverage skills. His ability to cover as either man-to-man or zone coverage is excellent. In man-to-man coverage, he shows good skills. He has the speed and athleticism to cover wide receivers well. He also is a good tackler, who tackles well in the open field. Flemings has the skills to play at an even higher level next year.

Deionte Flemings is a talented defensive back who I had the pleasure of recently watching play at the Prep Redzone 7 on 7 tournament. I was impressed with him as both a wide receiver and a defensive back. At both positions, he shows good athleticism and speed. At defensive back specifically, he shows good coverage skills and does an excellent job breaking on the ball thrown his way. Flemings has a ton of potential as a defensive back or a wide receiver.

. was the best defensive player on the day. Just like he was on tape the soon to be McDowell High School star used his size and reach to his advantage, constantly jamming receivers off the line and not allowing 1 completion. Think about this folks, the young man is not even a freshman and he is 6’0 even and not done growing. Imagine him locking down some of the best receivers in the state in years to come.

has all the makings of a shut down defensive back for years to come. Speaking with this talent you can tell he wants to master his craft so by the time he is picking off passes for the Trojans varsity squad very soon. His back pedal and hip rotation are very impressive from the limited tape I saw, seeing him up close I am confident he will prove that he is an elite corner. We cannot forget his length which I really believe will set him up nicely against bigger targets, he is not done growing yet either.
