I am excited to watch Denzel Jones Denzel Jones 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Caesar Rodney | 2028 State MD . He is an athletic and well-built playmaker who brings versatility to the field. At 5’11”, 178 pounds, he has the size and strength to contribute in multiple roles. His physicality and movement skills allow him to impact the game in space. Jones is a player to watch as he continues to develop his all-around game.

Jones is a dynamic two-way athlete who finds ways to impact the game on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he’s a confident corner who tackles well in space and shows sharp instincts in zone coverage. He breaks on the football with timing and isn’t afraid to mix it up physically on the perimeter.

On offense, Denzel brings that same competitive edge. He’s productive from the slot, making contested catches and consistently turning short passes into chunk gains. His combination of ball skills, quickness, and toughness makes him a valuable piece in any game plan, a true playmaker who delivers whenever he’s involved in a play.

Denzel is a player who caught my eye back in pre-season of this year and he has gone on to have a stand out sophomore season. An impact player on both sides of the ball, he makes highlight plays at WR & CB and has a ton of potential as a prospect.

This past weekend in CR’s game vs. Sussex Central Denzel had 190 receiving yds on 9 receptions for a 21yd avg. per catch to go along with 2 receiving TDs. His first score came 20yd skinny post up the seam, beating 3 defenders over the top and making a spectacular one handed grab for the score. His next TD reception was from a wheel route off motion where he beat his defender with his speed and out ran the rest of the defense for a 75yd score. Denzel can get it done on defense from the CB spot as well. Able to line up out wide or in the slot, and able to play lock down man coverage while getting his hands on passes for lots of PBUs. Denzel is showing he is a high level athlete that should be garnering some attention from college coaches this winter/spring.
