I’ve written about Mr. Ashiru recently but his performance this fall season is the epitome of this article so not including him would be a disservice. Like I said previously, he’s been a man on a mission showcasing why he should be in talks of being a top dual-threat QB in the state. The impact and dominance he’s shown being at the helm of this offensive unit have been impressive. So much so that he’s actually headed out to visit the University of Illinois on a Game Day Visit this upcoming weekend. rnComing into this season I had Mr. Ashiru as possibly being a breakout player this fall season. I not only got a chance to scout this young man in person this fall but I also analyzed his midseason highlights below and he is indeed making his mark. This young man is not only able to get it done in the air attack, he can get it done in the ground game to position himself as a top dual-threat QB in the State of Illinois. His ability to get the ball out quickly when he runs RPOs is one to keep an eye on and it’s so successful because of the threat his legs possess to opposing defenses. Mr. Ashiru has the arm strength to make all level throws both in platform and on the move. He can also use his foot quicks to outrun 2nd-level defenders to either break a long run to keep the chains moving or get into the endzone for six. All in all, this dual-threat quarterback has been on FIRE each week this season leading Plainfield North to a 5-0 record so far. If I were a college coach, I would be keeping a very close eye on this young man as he’s proving why he can be a difference maker at the next level. Twitter

Mr. Ashiru is a dual-threat QB that had an impressive performance Friday night. Go take a below at some of his best clips from Friday night and you’ll see why he’s a top dual-threat QB in the state. His ability to add a touch on the ball across all level throws is one to keep an eye on this fall. Let’s not forget about the threat he poses during RPOs as his legs are a threat to opposing defenses as well. There were countless times when he’d pull the ball down to scramble to pick up the first down as well. For reference, he had two passing 2 TDs in the first quarter and continued to showcase his talent throughout the rest of the game.
