About Deacon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm more of a quick player rather than an typical strong defensive line I use my speed to make a play and meet the qb in the backfield.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I usually try to help others in my position group by critiquing peers and I try to keep my teammates motivated as they motivate me to be better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No I have not.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was chosen to come up to the varsity team so I had expectations coming up. I was a 3rd string The first week and did not receive playing time, I realized this was not as fine as I expected. I treated practice like a game and fighting for a spot with 4 other players, by the time I got playing time I started.

Musselman’s Deacon Nguyen Deacon Nguyen Deacon Nguyen 6'0" | 255 lbs | DL/OL/OL Musselman | 2028 WV has a bright future for the Applemen and saw varsity action as a freshman this past season. Nguyen is put together well for his age with an ideal interior DL frame. He can play on both sides of the line, but we like his potential as an interior defensive lineman. Nguyen shows flashes on both film and at the Combine Series camp as he builds up his confidence as a young lineman. He’s physically strong and will continue to develop his technique to put himself in a position to have success as he gets older and more experienced.
