David is a guy who can make things difficult for offensive linemen, especially when he’s looking to get into the backfield. I like how he attacks the outside shoulder of blockers and looks for ways to create separation. He’s the type of defender who can force a quarterback to move around in the pocket rather than sit comfortably and make throws. Another thing I like is how he continues working even when his first pass-rush move doesn’t get him where he wants to go. There’s a lot to build on with his game, and his ability to develop more moves could make him an even tougher matchup.
David had a strong night up front, creating problems for the offensive line and making his presence felt in the trenches. He played with good effort from snap to whistle and kept working his way toward the ball. David did a good job helping disrupt the run game and putting pressure on the quarterback when given the chance.
David who may not have a deep film catalog yet , but the flashed he does show are enough to understand why there’s real intrigue around his long term ceiling. David already check some important boxes that translate well. The first thing that stands out is his frame and natural build for the edge position. He looks like apluer who can continue to build strength and mass without losing the ability to move.
Even with limited reps, David shows encouraging burst off the line of scrimmage. When he fires out , there are moments where he gains immediate ground on blockers , giving him a chance to disrupt plays before they fully develop. Davis already hold offers from baylor , utsa and more.
David didn’t need a tone of time to show up on Baylor radar at camp. From the first few competitive reps , he brought energy off the edge and wasn’t afraid to challenge OL .
