, a 6’0”, 217 lb defensive lineman from North Kingstown High School, has elevated his recruiting profile. Despite being slightly undersized for a defensive lineman, Cote’s standout qualities include a solid frame, notable athleticism, and decent first-step quickness. His physical playing style and relentless motor are commendable, as is his discipline in maintaining gap integrity and utilizing effective tackling techniques.
Daniel’s high football IQ sets him apart, enabling him to read the game well and make critical plays. However, to maximize his potential at the next level, he must address his size disadvantage through dedicated offseason training. Updating his athletic testing will provide a clear indication of his progress, particularly in speed, height, and weight.
To broaden his versatility within various defensive schemes, it may be advantageous for Daniel to train as an outside linebacker or edge player, enhancing his coverage skills. Overall, Cote Jr. is a talented prospect with the right work ethic and strong potential for success in the recruiting landscape.

Daniel was the top overall tester out of the DL group.
Daniel showed great effort and energy from the start of the showcase to the end. Daniel attacked the position drills with great intensity. He plays with good leverage and did a nice job of implementing the coaching techniques being asked of him.
The biggest limitation for Daniel is currently his size. He is a class of 2028 so he certainly has time to develop more but he likely projects as more of a linebacker type build due to his athleticism and size.

If Cote Jr. was 6-foot-whatever and 230-whatever-pounds, he’d be a prospect getting college camp invites all over the country. The reality is that while he’s undersized, he plays the game fast, aggressive, hard and every other adjective you want to tag him with. He straight up gets after on every play. Has played all over the place during his youth career, including Offensive Guard and Defensive End this year for the North Kingstown Jaguars. I have him listed as a Linebacker–I think he could end up there long term.
