Daniel first hit my radar this offseason when he earned his first offer from Mankato following an event on the Mavericks campus. The 5’10” 180 lbs RB brings 4.5 speed to the field on top of that compact, strong frame. That speed is on display when they use him to attack the edges. Daniel has no trouble stretching the field horizontally then sticking his foot in the ground and getting up field before the defense can flow to him. His vision in those scenarios, and behind the line in general, is a massive strength too. He finds blocks, seams, and can set up defenders. Daniel is quickly developing a strong feel for how to attack the defense carry to carry. He also is a contributor at LB on defense too.
