The lone TE prospect on this list, Dane Wheeler Dane Wheeler 6'6" | 195 lbs | TE Foley | 2026 State MN has the height and frame to excel at the next level as a premium TE, though he will have to bulk up a bit to gain more power at the position. Regardless of his size though, Wheeler excels as a run-blocker, showing a great level of physicality, and consistently moving his feet to drive defenders back. Wheeler uses his length well to gain leverage on edge rushers to keep them from breaking through his blocks. Wheeler also had success sneaking out of his blocks and going out as a pass option, showing solid route-running ability that’s allowed him to be a goal-line threat for the offense as well. Wheeler could very well switch toward being a big-bodied WR who provides plenty of value in the run-support, but with a bit of weight, Wheeler could really cement his status as one of the top TE prospects in Minnesota for this year’s class.
