initially looks like the classic tall quarterback who might be a tad slow on his feet. But appearances can be deceiving. Despite his towering frame, he moves with surprising ease — covering ground in a few long strides and effortlessly transitioning into his throwing motion. There’s a deceptive speed to how quickly he can fire off a pass, thanks in part to that long reach which doesn’t hinder him at all. He’s mostly quiet, but that seems more like a humble confidence than any sort of shyness. He knows he’s got the toolset: arm power, mobility, and a keen sense of timing. In a high-stakes situation, that composure can be invaluable. If he refines his footwork even more and continues building that mental side of the game, Dane could be a true nightmare for defenses at the highest levels. Put simply, he’s got superstar potential written all over him.

Excellent size at 6’4″ and 200 pounds. As a junior he threw for 2773 yards on 69% completion percentage. Like the physicality he brings to the table along with his pocket presence. Can beat you from the pocket with his accuracy/touch on the deep ball along with zip on short and intermediate routes. Decent runner and throws well when rolling pocket.

Another member of the sophomore class who stood out with his passing abilities is Toronto Unity QB

. Dane has a 6’4″ 180 lbs build that allows him to stand tall in the pocket and read the field. Dane has good pocket presence and patience. He won’t bail on the pocket early, and doesn’t panic when pressured. The sophomore is dominant with his accuracy to every level of the field. He completed just shy of 70% of his passes while not shying away from pushing the ball downfield. The touch he has on his deep passes jumps off the tape. You couldn’t hand the ball off with more accuracy than how he drops it in a bucket. The sophomore clearly has a strong grasp of his offense too. We see him move around the pocket to buy time, going from read to read until he finds the one guy. Dane has an excellent blend of size, accuracy, and football IQ/mental toughness for his age.

. Dane already has elite size for the QB position. The sophomore is a decisive passer who takes care of the football. The mechanics are beginning to come together as well. You see the quick footwork, and Dane does a good job of keeping everything aligned and moving together to be able to create velocity and maintain accuracy to all levels of the field. I’m excited to see the arm continue to strengthen and his overall game sharpen. Take a look a the film below, and save the name.
