About Damani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game-play style as a versatile running back who plays with patience, vision, and intent. I read defenses well, allow blocks to develop, and hit the hole decisively with also knowing how to stick my foot to get vertical. I’m shifty with controlled aggression, reliable as a pass catcher, and capable of contributing to multiple phases of the offense. I run with purpose.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a natural leader who brings energy and accountability to a team. I’m competitive and driven to win, but I play the game the right way with strong sportsmanship and respect for teammates, coaches, and opponents.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm in varsity track and fields, also in basketball

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by leading through both my work ethic and my attitude. I communicate well, hold myself and my teammates accountable, and understand the importance of doing my job for the success of the team. I also value giving back and representing my program in class or on the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced significant personal challenges, including the loss of my mother and my uncle, who introduced me to football and instilled my love for the game. Going through these experiences has strengthened my resilience, focus, and motivation. I play with purpose, honoring their influence by staying disciplined, working hard, and making the most of every opportunity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics and a football program competing at the Division I level that values development, culture, and opportunity. I’m especially interested in a program that’s hungry to improve, needs impact players, and is committed to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field.

Damani Morris Damani Morris Damani Morris 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB Stagg | 2028 State IL plays running back in high school but I like him more as a fit on the perimeter.  Morris has a good first step off the LOS and can be a crafty route runner in space.  Morris displayed great adjustment to the ball and is athletic enough to leap over defenders and make clutch catches.  His speed in space also lends itself to the WR position, as does his 6-foot-0, 165-pound frame.
