had a couple coaches speaking on his behalf to be the overall offensive MVP from the camp on Sunday. Carnes was right there near the top of the list and he certainly brought a different element to the wide receiver position. We wrote about Carnes earlier this week after he was one of the top five fastest campers in the shuttle drill. That speed and ability to change direction on a dime made him absolutely impossible to cover in a one on one situation. It didn’t matter if it was a defensive back, a linebacker or when the defense had four defenders against three wide receivers, Carnes always found a way to get separation and he was one of the very best on Sunday.

is our first player on this breakdown and he was arguably the best wide receiver in attendance. He was right there with a couple others for MVP consideration and it started in the testing. Carnes was tied for the fourth fastest shuttle time after running a 4.40 shuttle, followed by a time of 4.50 seconds. We then saw that quickness and change of direction speed as he left defensive backs in the dust.
