Expert Analysis
Mike Bey | Prep Redzone Scout
In 2022, Dalin’s great play was a bright spot in the 5-6 season of the Northmont Thunderbolts where they averaged 28.3 points per game. He lines up on the outside as an X and Z. He is quick off the LOS and shows good hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem. He separates from his man with his good athleticism and shows good hands as he makes the catch with his hands away from his body. After the catch is made, he uses his quality play speed to outrun all defenders as he scores on a long touchdown reception. His good mental toughness allows him to rise to the occasion in the redzone.

Wilkins is a player I caught onto last season as a sophomore. He was a smooth athlete for his still developing, 6’3, lanky frame. He’s continued to add weight and is now up to 200 pounds. For a receiver of his size, he’s explosive in and out of his cuts, and he runs by DB’s with relative ease. Against press man he shows good footwork and the ability to get clean releases. He’s a natural hands catcher who catches the ball well away from the body. Dalin also does a good job of catching the ball in traffic. He had a nice junior season catching 45 balls for 813 yards and 7 touchdowns in a strong GWOC conference. Wilkins has an offer from Kentucky and also several MAC schools. With a chance to get in front of college coaches this offseason, I really expect Wilkins to shine and make a big impact on his recruitment.
