About Curtis

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My weapons are my speed, quickness, lateral movement and vision. I play fast with aggression. I would say I have good instincts, field awareness and anticipate well to get through tough holes from the RB position. I catch the ball and move down field well and have an eye for the field. I will hit you hard. I fight for it all.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I've been described as aggressive and intense. My mentality on defense is that you won’t get past me. I have a do or die mentality on the field. I play with conviction and I am confident in what I can do. My personality is one of quiet confidence. I will speak up in the locker room, in practice or half time if I think we can do better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

yes, I am in the Honors academic program.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was the new kid on the team and that has taught me to work and earn a starting position. I have learned how to take responsibility for myself. I have developed an understanding on how to handle myself socially, in the classroom and on the field. I developed more confidence in myself and my abilities to take on new challenges away from familiar childhood coaches.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I would say moving to a new school two years ago was a significant challenge at first. I had to figure it all out with new teachers, coaches, friends and teammates. I had to work harder at the academics because it was harder than my small private Christian school. It’s made me a stronger person.

What type of college are you looking for?

A school with great football and academics. A school with a great history of both and can support me in how I learn best. A school that can help me get to the next level.
