About Coreyon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I make high effort and smart plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a kill or be killed mentality on the field. I believe success is earned and am willing to go get it. I also like to bring my teammates up and communicate fluently.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m in the International Baccalaureate program at EHS along with National Honors Society, Black Student Union, Principal Advisory Committee, Mock Trial and Math Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

From being captain of both the football and basketball teams and president of multiple clubs I’ve learned that change is a process. You must stay dedicated and steadfast in working towards change to make it happen. Change can mean getting more playing time, getting better grades or mending broken relationships.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have imposter’s syndrome, a condition where people think or constantly question whether they are deserving of their spot or not. Sophomore year I yearned to get varsity playing time but when I finally got the starting spot towards the end of the year I couldn’t help but doubt my skill and think that my spot is temporary. This keeps me on my toes though, I can never let somebody out work me now.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college rich in history, tradition and school spirit. Somewhere I can be engaged in.
