Coper is a physical, instinctive linebacker who consistently shows up around the football. On film, he diagnoses plays quickly, attacks downhill with purpose, and takes strong angles to meet ball carriers at the point of attack. He does a great job shedding blockers, staying disciplined in his gaps, and finishing through contact to limit extra yardage. Coper also shows sideline-to-sideline range, allowing him to track plays outside the box, close on screens, and disrupt developing runs. His awareness in space and ability to stay around the ball make him a reliable presence in the middle of the defense.
