The senior coming out of Elizabeth added another impressive season to his resume. Connelley plays running back and punter for Elizabeth. He does a great job at both. His running back stats for the year are as follows: 114 carries for 992 yards and 12 TDs. His punting stats are as follows: 19 punts for 701 yards , 49 yards being the longest and 10 were inside the 20. 52.6% of his punts set his opponent up within their 20 yard line. Giving his defense a great chance to capitalize and give the ball back to the offense. Connelley has good kick power and very good kick accuracy. He’s got the ability to make all the kicks/punts needed for any team.

Connelley is a physical runner and he showed that with his carries despite the first round exit. He has a burst of speed and when he makes it to the second level he is able to outrun defender. He is a player that will fight for extra yardage and make defenders pay when he lowers his shoulder. He is a player that deserves another look and can make an impact at the next level.

Connelley is a back that can make things happen when he is able to touch the ball more often having 670 yards rushing on the season. When he is able to get double digit carries he is able to rush for over 4 yards a carry. He is elusive at his size and is able to make the first defender miss. He has some speed but is able to use his strength to get into the endzone.

Connelley is a big towering back that is shifty and hard to bring down. At times he is able to turn a negative yardage plays into a big chunk play, making multiple defenders miss. When he gets into the open field he is able to turn on the jets and outrun defenders for a house call. He is a player that uses his vision and can setup his blocks well, getting behind his line and being patient. He has the ability to be effective catching the ball out of the backfield as well. Is someone who can pick up blocks in the passing game when his number is called.
