Roberson is a special athlete, especially at the small school level, and is the type of player we may not see in Class A for a long time after he graduates in two years.

Entering his sophomore season as the starting quarterback, Roberson completed 24/38 passes for 442 yards and 5 touchdowns to pair with his 109 rushing yards and 2 more scores. Ranked as a LB, Roberson made his mark on defense as well with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery to help lead the Wildcats to a big opening week win over AAA Keyser, which earned our Week One Class A Game Ball.

He may be underrated at 16th overall in the rankings with what he’s shown to this point as a young athlete. Roberson is someone we’ve seen in person multiple times and is always impressive every time. As expected, he produced at a high level in Class A last season as a freshman as a do-it-all athlete on both sides of the ball. Depending on how his body develops over the next three years, linebacker feels like his future position at the next level, but Roberson also has the athleticism to stick at safety, as he showed as a freshman.

Some may brush off his freshman season due to being at the Class A level, but Roberson will be a top prospect in the 2028 class for four years. He’s too versatile of an athlete to label one position as he started at running back at the beginning of the year before moving to quarterback where he threw for over 2,000 yards and 27 touchdowns. Roberson was a standout at both the WV and VA Stock Up Showcases this off-season as a linebacker which may end up being his best position as a prospect where he totaled 84 tackles and 4 interceptions as a LB/S hybrid this season.

I wrote about Robertson being a two time top performer in back to back weeks earlier, but it has to be mentioned again. Honestly these camps draw the top talent throughout the east coast, to make one top performers list is impressive, to make back to back look even better. There is a lot to like about the class of 2028 star’s game, Robertson should be a prime candidate for rankings debut in the West Virginia sophomore class.

Back to back weeks he displayed great vision and technique during the 1vs1s, already a star at running back for Pendleton County, he is about to be on the defensive side this fall.

Roberson was a top performer at the West Virginia showcase, nearly earning MVP honors for the linebacker group. This dude is a stud and will surely be a top ranked kid for the West Virginia 2028 class. Here is what I wrote about his outing last week:

Earning a top performer spot with solid testing numbers and good work in the 1vs1, Roberson is already 6’0 and 175 lbs.. The young man had himself a nice day watch how he runs with standout Jaden Hatfield below. Roberson is a competitor you should expect to see more of that for the next three years out of him.
