About Colton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a high football IQ, making protection calls and reading defenses pre-snap. My playing style is physical and technical-I stay low, win leverage battles, and use quick hands and footwork to control defenders. I’m dependable, aggressive in the run game and disciplined in pass protection.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a tough, disciplined. And team- first player. I lead with my actions and hold myself to a high standard on and off the field. I believe real leadership comes from consistency, accountability and earning trust.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I previously ran track, threw discus and excelled in shop put. I am also a member of FCA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed as a leader by being accountable, organized and having effective communication. I lead by example always on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is being an undersized offensive lineman. Size doesn’t define toughness, intelligence or technique. I’m constantly working on perfecting fundamentals- quick hands, low pad level and fast decision making to compete with defensive lineman.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to be a part of a culture that pushes players to grow on and off the field- where coaches hold you accountable and teammates push each other to be their best. I’m open to schools at any level that believe in player development and offer strong academics. I want to be a part of a program where I can earn my role, compete and contribute to winning.
