Cogshell had a very busy spring and summer and turned into one of the most sought after rush ends across California this off-season. He has elite explosion off the ball, violent hands and natural bend around the edge while able to win with speed and power at the POA. He is a very polished pass rusher that can beat bigger tackles, counter back inside and closes quickly while able to COD with ease and chase down ball carriers backside. He racked in 15 Division I offers before committing to BYU and is a big time get for the Cougars. The talented edge rusher checks in atop our rankings across the DL and just inside the top 100 overall in the state of California.

Cogshell is one of five players from California in BYU’s 2025 recruiting class.
