Brinkman possesses great length and a solid wingspan to garner leverage against his WRs, while giving little leeway for WRs in terms of separation and possessing the speed to keep up against go-balls to break up the deep pass. Brinkman has garnered attention from multiple D3 schools over this offseason, and I think it’s only a matter of time before Brinkman starts receiving offers to play at the next level.

One of the more impressive 2027 defensive backs at the Crown College Elite Prospect Camp came from Norwood Young America’s Cole Brinkman Cole Brinkman 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Norwood Young America | 2027 State MN , who didn’t take long to catch my attention in the early session during testing. Cole showed off explosive traits during testing with his change of direction for his size, which showed translation to what I saw later at camp. He showed off great length that was well-versed from a ball-tracking perspective in the few reps I watched out of Cole in the DB group during 1v1s. He’s one that I wish I got to watch more reps out of him, but the few I did see showed me certainly that this kid can play on Saturdays and better yet for college staffs, he doesn’t have any offers as of yet that have been reported.
