About Cody

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a WR I’m very smart when it comes to beating DBs off the line and my route running is one of my biggest strengths when it comes to playing the WR position. As DB I’m very versatile and always alert and whenever I get the chance to go and hit someone I will, I play with intensity and I’m not afraid to make a play. When I’m one on one against a receiver in man I’m patient and let them make a move

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

When it comes to football I mean business. At practice and games I’m there to kill and show even though I’m undersized I’m not afraid to go and make a play. My mentality is win every rep and to play fast.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve gained a lot of coach trust with my head coach and I’ve showed my whole entire coaching staff that I’m willing to put in the work to make the team successful in the upcoming seasons. I’ve gained leadership by brining underclassman into the weight room and lifting as a group and showing them what discipline really is.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge I’ve faced is injury and size. The beginning of the year I ended up breaking my hand right before week 1, but I came back even stronger week 3 and I wore a club and I wasn’t afraid of going and making a play despite my hand. The other challenges I faced was being an undersized freshman only being 5’7 and 130 pounds at the beginning of the season but I really continued to work

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that is close to home and has a coaching staff that focuses on technique and development.
