About CJ

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style is high energy, quick twitch, high impact, speed and high game IQ. I also work to be the best conditioned athlete on the field so I can outlast my opponent both physically and mentally. I try to make all my teammates around me better.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a “team first” mentality and look to make everyone around me better. I thrive on being a leader both in and off the field and try to lead first by example. I pride myself in knowing every responsibility of every player on every play, so coaches can feel like they have another coach on the field during the game. I give 100% 100% of the time!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was named an All-New England selection (as a catcher) for my age group in baseball and will play in the National PBR tournament in Georgia.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was elected Captain for both football and baseball this past year for my 8th grade teams. I also volunteer my time to help older local veterans who live in my community. This past year I also was elected group leader for a service trip to the Dominican Republic to help rebuild a school.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I challenge myself in sports and in academics everyday to become the best student/athlete I can be.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a major college program that also offers an excellent education. My top choices are: Michigan (to follow in the footsteps of my cousin, Dallas Cowboys TE Luke Schoonmaker) & Boston College. I am also interested in the service academies: Navy & Army.

Part of an incredible 2028 class coming out of the Hingham Youth Football organization, that has amassed a 53-5 record and five championships over the last seven seasons. He’ll be off to Boston College High School in the fall, and brings an excellent skill set for an incoming freshman. He’s put together well with requisite muscle mass for the position. Stays low in his stance and on his toes, despite traffic in front of him. Furthermore, Taylor just finds ways to avoid blockers and make a tackle.
